The Kempsey Show returns in 2026 on the 14th & 15th of April with two days of agriculture, entertainment and family fun. With a proud history dating back to 1881, the Show continues to celebrate the spirit of the Macleay with livestock competitions, arena events, local food, market stalls and community favourites.

The cattle program runs across two days, starting with dairy and beef classes on Day 1 and continuing with a full day of beef judging on Day 2. Exhibitors can enter stud, commercial and junior handler events showcasing the region’s strong breeding traditions.
The horse program features hack classes, stock horse events, led and ridden sections and rider classes for all levels. The 2026 schedule includes junior and senior events across two days of equestrian competition.
The poultry pavilion displays a wide range of breeds including large fowl, bantams and waterfowl. Exhibitors can access clear class categories and judging information in the 2026 schedule.
